# Crowdcut

> Crowdcut is a web app from Rector & Stull (Dallas, TX) that turns Twitch, Kick and YouTube streams into captioned vertical clips, picking moments from chat reactions. It (crowdcut.studio) turns live streams and long videos into vertical, captioned clips for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. Paste a Twitch, Kick or YouTube link (or upload a file) and it finds the moments worth clipping, cuts them to 9:16, adds word-by-word captions and a hook, and queues them for your approval.

Facts (as of October 28, 2026):

- How it finds moments: chat replay spikes on Twitch and YouTube VODs, loudness peaks, the transcript, comment timestamps on YouTube, and clusters of viewer clips on connected live Twitch channels.
- Long VODs are processed in 30-minute sections; clips reach review while the rest of the stream is still being processed.
- Clips are 8 to 90 seconds, about 30 by default. Layouts include facecam over gameplay for gaming streams, plus preset caption styles.
- Nothing posts automatically: every clip waits for approval. Approved clips go to the connected TikTok account's drafts (now or scheduled); for YouTube Shorts and Instagram, clips download with a caption and tags.
- A clip counts against the plan once, when it first reaches review; re-renders are free.
- Free demo: two clips from a pasted link, no sign-up (email required); for sources over 30 minutes it samples the liveliest 30 minutes.
- Free trial: 3 days of Clipper, 100 clips (up to 40 a day) and 1 live channel (a preview of Creator and up — Clipper doesn't include live), card required, $0 today. If not canceled it becomes Clipper: $14.50 for the first month (50% off), then $29/month. Monthly plans bought directly get the first month 50% off with 50% more clips. Cancel anytime.
- Referral program: referred customers get 50% off their first 2 months; the referrer earns 30% of what they pay for 12 months.
