Crowdcut / Podcast clips

Podcast episodes into clips people finish.

Upload an episode or paste a link. Crowdcut finds the takes with a payoff and frames them vertically with large, word-by-word captions.

Podcast Bold style: tight crop on the speaker, big captions.

In short

Crowdcut turns podcast episodes into vertical clips: upload the episode or paste a link, and it transcribes the conversation, ranks the takes that have a clear point or reaction, frames the speaker for 9:16 and burns in large word-by-word captions. You pick the hook and approve each clip.

How it works

  1. Upload the episode

Video podcasts from a file or a link.

  2. The best takes are found

The transcript is scored for moments with a clear point or reaction.

  3. Approve and post

Adjust the hook, pick a style, approve. Captions are already timed.

Finding the takes worth clipping

A podcast has no chat spikes, so the transcript does the work: candidate windows are scored for a complete thought with a setup and a payoff, and loud reactions (laughter, raised voices) push a window up. Every clip opens at the start of a sentence, not mid-word, and ends on a natural pause.

Framing one, two or more people

Podcast Bold crops tight on the speaker with big captions. For two hosts in one wide shot, a blurred-fill style keeps both people in frame without black bars. Change the style per clip, and the clip re-renders in seconds from the cached cut and transcript.

Captions you can fix

Captions are timed to each word and grouped into readable phrases. If a name or a word is misheard, fix it in review (same number of words, so the timing stays aligned) and the clip re-renders. Swearing is starred in the text and muted in the audio unless you switch masking off in the project brief.

From episode to posted clip

Approve a clip and it goes to your TikTok drafts or downloads with a title, caption and tags for Shorts and Reels. Clipper ($29/month) includes 40 clips a month; edits and re-renders of the same clip never count again.

Long episodes, many clips

A long episode is worked through in 30-minute sections, so the first clips are ready to review while the rest is still being cut. Choose up to 20 clips per episode and a length from 8 to 90 seconds; about 30 seconds is the default. To see the result on your own show first, paste a link to a public episode and get two clips free by email, no sign-up.
