Crowdcut / OpusClip alternative
An OpusClip alternative built for streams
OpusClip is built to clip long videos of every kind. If yours are Twitch, Kick or YouTube streams, Crowdcut reads the stream's chat to find the moments and charges for the clips you get, not the hours you upload.
In short
If you clip long Twitch or Kick streams, Crowdcut is an OpusClip alternative built for them. OpusClip charges 1 credit per minute of the video you import (Free has 60 credits a month, Pro is $29 a month for 300, per its own pricing page), and that page lists YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Rumble and StreamYard as sources. Crowdcut takes Twitch, Kick and YouTube links, picks moments from the chat replay, clips Twitch live in beta and counts finished clips: $29/month for 40.

How it works
Paste the stream
A Twitch past broadcast, a Kick VOD or a YouTube video or past stream. Several links at once are clipped as a series.
Chat finds the moments
On Twitch and YouTube the chat replay marks where viewers reacted; on Kick, the audio and transcript do. Each clip opens on the setup.
Approve and post
Clips arrive 9:16 with word-by-word captions and three hook drafts. Approve, then send to TikTok drafts or download for Shorts and Reels.
What you get
- Moments ranked by how chat reacted: laughing, hype, shock and "clip it", against the channel's own pace
- Pricing per finished clip, from $29/month for 40; a four-hour stream costs the clips it gives you
- Twitch live clipping (beta) on Creator and up, so clips arrive while the stream is still on
- Facecam over gameplay found automatically (Gaming Stack), plus 14 other caption styles
- A review step: nothing posts until you approve it

Why streams are different
A stream is long and mostly quiet, with a handful of moments that matter. Per-minute pricing counts all of it: a four-hour VOD is 240 minutes, which at OpusClip's 1 credit a minute is 240 of Pro's 300 monthly credits for one stream. OpusClip's processing timeframe slider lets you send only part of a video, which helps if you already know where the moments are. Crowdcut counts the clips that reach your review queue, so the quiet hours cost nothing.
Streams also come with a signal most videos don't have: the chat. On Twitch and YouTube VODs Crowdcut reads the chat replay and ranks the windows where chat moved faster than its own pace, sorted by what people typed, before it looks at loudness and the transcript.
When OpusClip is the better fit
For podcasts, webinars, interviews and edited YouTube videos, OpusClip is built for exactly that: its own blog describes virality-based ranking, auto-captioning, 9:16 reframing with active-speaker tracking, a full editor and a scheduler. It imports directly from Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom and StreamYard, has a free plan with monthly credits, and can post to Shorts, TikTok and Reels automatically. If those are your sources and you want posting on autopilot, it's a strong choice.
When Crowdcut is the better fit
If your sources are Twitch, Kick or YouTube streams, if you want clips chosen by how the audience reacted, if you'd rather pay per clip than per minute of a four-hour VOD, or if you want clips while a Twitch stream is still live, Crowdcut is built around that. Every clip waits for a person to approve it, which matters on clipping campaigns where a bad post earns nothing. For a side-by-side with more detail, see Crowdcut vs OpusClip.
Try it on a stream
Paste a public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link. We email you two captioned vertical clips, usually within 15 minutes. No sign-up, no card.
Questions
Is Crowdcut cheaper than OpusClip?
It depends on what you clip. OpusClip Pro is $29 a month for 300 credits, which is 300 minutes of source video. Crowdcut Clipper is $29/month for 40 finished clips from sources of any length. Long streams with a few good moments favour per-clip; many short videos can favour per-minute.
Does OpusClip work with Twitch?
Its pricing page doesn't list Twitch or Kick among its import sources (checked October 30, 2026). Check OpusClip's site for the current list.
Does Crowdcut have a free plan like OpusClip's?
No free plan, but a free demo: two clips from any public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link, emailed to you, with no sign-up. OpusClip's Free plan has 60 credits a month with a watermark.
Can Crowdcut copy the look of clips I made in another tool?
Yes, on Growth and up: give it a reference clip and it reads the layout, caption look and pacing, and applies them to a project or a single clip.
Does Crowdcut post automatically like OpusClip?
No, on purpose. Approved clips go to your TikTok drafts, now or on a schedule, or download for Shorts and Reels. A person approves every clip.
