Crowdcut / Best clipping websites

The best clipping websites, and what each one is for

"Clipping website" means two things: a tool that cuts long videos into short clips, or a site that pays you to post them. Here are both, each described from its own pages. We make Crowdcut, so we've kept to facts and left the ranking to you.

Box Highlight style: the spoken word sits in a coloured box under a dark title card.

In short

There are two kinds of clipping websites. Clip makers turn long videos into short vertical clips: Crowdcut is built for Twitch, Kick and YouTube streams and picks moments from chat; Eklipse is built for gaming streams and lists live clipping on Premium Pro; Klap, OpusClip and Vizard clip long videos of any kind and charge by clips or by minutes of video. Paying sites such as Whop Content Rewards pay clippers per 1,000 views on approved posts. The best one depends on your source and on whether you clip for yourself or for a campaign. Every fact about another company below comes from its own site, checked October 30, 2026.

How it works

  1. Start from your source

Streams with an active chat suit a stream clipper. Podcasts, webinars and talking-head videos suit a general long-video clipper.

  2. Check how it charges

Per minute of video imported, per finished clip, or a flat plan. A long stream with a few good moments costs very different amounts under each.

  3. Try it on your own footage

Most have a free option. Run the same video through two of them and compare the clips, not the feature lists.

What you get

  • Clips picked from how chat reacted on Twitch and YouTube VODs, and from audio and transcript on Kick and uploads
  • Twitch live clipping (beta) on Creator and up; Kick live on request
  • Pricing per finished clip, from $29/month for 40; re-renders free
  • Word-by-word captions, three hook drafts per clip and a review step before anything posts
  • Two free clips from any public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link, no sign-up

Two ways to charge, and why it matters for streams

Per-minute tools count the video you put in. A four-hour stream is 240 minutes, so at 1 credit a minute it uses 240 credits whether it holds three good moments or thirty; OpusClip lets you choose just part of a video to process, which helps if you know where to look. Per-clip tools (Crowdcut, Klap) count what comes out. For short, dense videos like podcast segments, per-minute credits can go further. For long streams where most of the hours are quiet, paying per clip means the quiet hours cost nothing.

Sites that pay you to clip

The other kind of clipping site doesn't cut anything: it pays clippers to post. On Whop Content Rewards, a creator or brand funds a campaign and sets a rate per 1,000 views, a minimum a video must earn before it's reviewed and a maximum per video, per Whop's documentation. You post clips that follow the campaign's rules from your own accounts, submit the links, and Whop pays for the views on posts the campaign approves. Other campaign marketplaces work along similar lines; read each one's rules before you clip.

Earnings aren't guaranteed. We keep a hand-checked list of paying campaigns, with their rates and rules, on Clips that pay, and the AI clipper page explains how Crowdcut cuts to a campaign's rules.

Free clipping sites

Nearly every clip maker has a free way in, with limits. OpusClip and Vizard each give 60 credits (minutes) a month free, with a watermark on OpusClip and 720p exports on Vizard, kept for 3 days on both. Eklipse's free preview scans a recent stream and shows its best moments, and exporting needs Premium. Crowdcut's free demo emails two clips from a public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link, with a small Crowdcut mark and no sign-up. Campaign sites like Whop are free to join; you're paid by the campaign, not charged.

Where Crowdcut fits, and where it doesn't

Crowdcut is built for streams: it reads the chat replay to find the moments, clips Twitch live in beta, and asks a person to approve every clip. It suits streamers who want every stream clipped, and clippers working per-view campaigns on Twitch, Kick and YouTube creators.

It isn't the best fit if you want clips posted automatically without review, if most of your sources are Zoom, Google Drive or Vimeo recordings (OpusClip imports those directly), or if you stream to Facebook (Eklipse connects it). Crowdcut also doesn't upload to YouTube through the API yet; Shorts download as an export pack.

Test Crowdcut on your own video

Paste a public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link. We email you two captioned vertical clips, usually within 15 minutes. No sign-up, no card.

Demo clips carry a small Crowdcut mark. Plans from $29/month.

Questions

What is the best clipping website?

There isn't one best for everyone. For Twitch, Kick and YouTube streams, a stream clipper like Crowdcut or Eklipse reads the stream itself; for podcasts and webinars, a long-video clipper like OpusClip, Klap or Vizard; to get paid for clips, a campaign site like Whop Content Rewards.

Are there free clipping sites?

Yes, with limits: OpusClip and Vizard have free monthly credits, Eklipse has a free preview, and Crowdcut makes two free clips from any public stream link without a sign-up.

Which clipping sites pay you?

Campaign marketplaces such as Whop Content Rewards, where creators and brands pay per 1,000 views on posts they approve. Pay isn't guaranteed and every campaign has its own rules.

Which clipping website is best for Twitch?

One that uses the stream's own signals. Crowdcut ranks Twitch moments by chat replay and clips live in beta; Eklipse lists Twitch among its connections and Live Clipping on Premium Pro. Try both on the same VOD.

Can I clip someone else's videos on these sites?

Only with permission: your own footage, a creator who has cleared you, or a campaign whose rules allow it.
