Crowdcut / Twitch clipper

A Twitch clipper that finds the moments for you

Connect a Twitch channel or paste a past broadcast. Crowdcut reads the chat, cuts the moments it reacted to into vertical clips with the facecam on top and captions word by word, and queues them for you to approve.

Gaming Stack style: facecam above, gameplay below, captions word by word.

In short

Crowdcut auto clips Twitch streams. Paste a Twitch past broadcast or highlight, or add the channel to a project to clip it while it's live (beta, Creator and up). It reads the chat replay for spikes of laughing, hype, shock and "clip it", cuts each moment to a 9:16 clip with the facecam stacked over gameplay and word-by-word captions, drafts three hooks, and waits for your approval before anything posts. Two clips are free to try, no sign-up.

How it works

  1. Add the stream

Paste a past broadcast or highlight link, or add the channel to a project so it's clipped while you're live (beta, Creator and up).

  2. Chat picks the moments

Windows where chat moved faster than its own pace rank first, sorted by what people typed. "CLIP IT" weighs the most.

  3. Approve and post

Clips arrive 9:16 with the facecam on top, captions and three hook drafts. Approve, then send to TikTok drafts or download for Shorts and Reels.

What you get

  • Clips of the moments chat reacted to, each opening on the setup a few seconds before the reaction
  • Facecam stacked over zoomed gameplay in a 1080×1920 frame (Gaming Stack), or any of 15 caption styles
  • Captions timed to each spoken word, with swearing starred and muted so clips stay postable
  • Three hook drafts per clip, written from what was actually said
  • Live clips a minute or two after the moment, up to 4 an hour per channel (beta)
  • A timeline editor for trims, speed, zooms, stickers, text and music; re-renders are free

Live, or from the VOD

While you're live (beta). Add a Twitch channel to a project and leave it on. Crowdcut follows the chat while the stream runs and cuts each spike from Twitch's own copy of the broadcast, so clips reach your review queue a minute or two after the moment, usually before the stream ends. It cuts up to 4 clips an hour per channel. Past broadcasts have to be switched on in the channel's Twitch settings; they're on by default for Affiliates and Partners. Live clipping is on Creator (1 channel), Starter (3), Growth (10) and Agency plans.

After the stream. Paste a past broadcast (twitch.tv/videos/…) or a highlight. Long streams are worked through in 30-minute sections. Twitch keeps past broadcasts for about 7 days on most channels (14 for Affiliates, 60 for Partners and Turbo or Prime users), so clip a VOD before it expires or save it as a highlight.

How it decides what to clip

Your chat is the best highlight detector you have. When something lands, messages speed up past the channel's usual pace and the words change: KEKW and LUL, POG and W, WTF and NO WAY, people typing "clip it". Crowdcut measures each window against the channel's own recent pace, so a small chat laughing counts the same as a big one. Loudness and the transcript then check there's a payoff in the window, and the clip starts on the setup.

On a watched channel, several viewers clipping the same moment is a signal too: their clips are grouped by where they sit in the stream and scored by how many different people made them.

Your channel, or someone else's

Streamers use it to clip their own channel every stream. Clippers use it on the channels they clip for: a streamer who has cleared you, or a per-view campaign that allows it (see the AI clipper for campaigns). Either way the footage has to be yours to clip, and every clip waits for a person to approve it.

Free Twitch clipper, then a plan

The free demo takes a public past broadcast up to 12 hours long, or just your channel name on the home page, clips the liveliest 30 minutes and emails you two clips. On a plan the whole stream is clipped, up to 20 clips per video, with no Crowdcut mark. Clipper is $29/month for 40 clips, about $0.73 a clip; the first month is 50% off with 50% more clips; Creator ($79/month) adds live clipping on one channel.

Clip a Twitch VOD free

Paste a public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link. We email you two captioned vertical clips, usually within 15 minutes. No sign-up, no card.

Demo clips carry a small Crowdcut mark. Plans from $29/month.

Questions

Is there a free Twitch clipper?

Yes. Paste a public Twitch past broadcast below, or type your channel name on the home page, and get two clips by email, free, with no sign-up.

Can it clip my Twitch stream while I'm live?

Yes, in beta, on Creator and up. Add the channel to a project and clips arrive a minute or two after each moment. Past broadcasts must be switched on in your Twitch settings.

Does it work with Twitch clips?

The free demo needs the full past broadcast or a highlight, because it finds the moments itself. On a plan you can also paste a single clip link.

How long can the stream be?

Hours. A plan works through long VODs in 30-minute sections; the free demo takes up to 12 hours and clips the liveliest 30 minutes.

Will it post to my accounts without asking?

No. Every clip waits for approval. Approved clips go to your connected TikTok drafts, now or on a schedule, or download for Shorts and Reels.
