Crowdcut / Eklipse alternative

An Eklipse alternative that reads your chat

Eklipse and Crowdcut both clip streams. Crowdcut ranks the moments by how chat reacted, asks a person to approve every clip, and makes 2 free clips from a link with no sign-up.

Blur Spoken style: the whole shot kept, with a blurred fill and captions word by word.

In short

If you want an Eklipse alternative, Crowdcut clips Twitch, Kick and YouTube streams. It reads the chat replay on Twitch and YouTube VODs to find the moments, clips Twitch live in beta, and charges per finished clip: $29/month for 40. Per Eklipse's own pages as of November 3, 2026, Eklipse Premium starts at $24.99 a month, Live Clipping is on Premium Pro at $39.99 a month, and exporting clips needs Premium.

How it works

  1. Paste the stream

A Twitch past broadcast, a Kick VOD or a YouTube video or past stream. On the free demo, a channel name works too.

  2. Chat finds the moments

On Twitch and YouTube the chat replay marks where viewers reacted. On Kick the audio and transcript do. Each clip opens on the setup.

  3. Approve and post

Clips arrive 9:16 with word-by-word captions and three hook drafts. Approve, then send to TikTok drafts or download for Shorts and Reels.

What you get

  • Moments ranked by how chat reacted (laughing, hype, shock and "clip it"), measured against the channel's own pace
  • Pricing per finished clip, from $29/month for 40; edits and re-renders are free
  • Twitch live clipping (beta) on Creator ($79/month) and up; Kick live on request
  • Facecam over gameplay found automatically (Gaming Stack), plus 14 other caption styles
  • Two free clips from a public Twitch, Kick or YouTube link, emailed to you with no sign-up
  • A review step: nothing posts until you approve it

How Crowdcut picks the moments

A stream is long and mostly quiet, with a handful of moments that matter. Crowdcut starts from the signal a stream already has: the chat. On Twitch and YouTube VODs it reads the chat replay and marks the windows where messages came faster than the channel's own recent pace, then sorts them by what people typed: laughing, hype, shock or "clip it". A small chat laughing counts the same as a big one, because each window is measured against that channel. Loudness and the transcript then check there's a payoff, and each clip starts a few seconds before the reaction.

How Eklipse ranks the moments in a stream is not listed on its pricing page or the help articles above (as of November 3, 2026). If that matters to you, run the same VOD through both and compare the clips.

Free options and watermarks

Eklipse's help center says a free account gets an AI scan of one recent stream as a preview, that "there is no free clipping tier", and that exporting needs Premium. Free users see the Eklipse logo in the corner of the preview, and watermark-free downloading is for Premium members (as of November 3, 2026).

The free demo's 2 clips carry a small "made with crowdcut.studio" mark. The 3-day free trial (card required, $0 today) puts no mark on the video; each trial clip ends with a short Crowdcut end card. Clips on a paid plan have no mark and no end card, unless you turn on "Watermark my clips". You can download the 2 demo clips from the result page or by email link, with no account.

When Eklipse is the better fit

If you stream to Facebook, Eklipse links it as a channel; Crowdcut connects Twitch, Kick and YouTube channels. If you want clips scheduled and posted for you across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and Facebook, Eklipse's Content Planner does that, per its pricing page.

When Crowdcut is the better fit

If your streams have an active chat and you want the clips chosen by how viewers reacted, if you want to try it on your own VOD before paying anything, or if you clip Kick and YouTube streams the same way as Twitch, Crowdcut is built around that. Every clip waits for a person to approve it, which matters when a bad post costs you followers or a campaign payout. Captions are timed to each spoken word, swearing is starred in the text and muted in the audio, and three hook drafts are written from what was actually said.
