How to clip on Kick
Updated · Crowdcut
On Kick you can clip a moment with the clip button under the player while watching, or clip later from the VOD in the channel's Videos tab. To turn Kick moments into TikToks, cut them from the VOD, reframe to vertical 9:16, add captions and a hook. Crowdcut does those steps from a pasted Kick VOD link.
Clip while watching
Kick's player has a clip button: press it, trim the window, title it and publish. That's the quickest way to save a moment, but the clip is horizontal and has no captions, so it still needs work before TikTok or Shorts.
Clip from the VOD after the stream
Open the channel, go to Videos, and pick the broadcast. Scrub to the moments you remember, or listen for the big reactions. Crowdcut takes the VOD link (kick.com/channel/videos/…), finds moments from loud reactions and the transcript, and cuts them for you. Long VODs are processed in 30-minute sections.
Make it vertical and readable
Reframe to 1080×1920. IRL and Just Chatting streams work best with a blurred fill that keeps the whole shot, or a crop on the streamer. Burn in captions word by word and add a hook on the first seconds. Star or mute swearing if the platform you post to is strict about it.
Live clipping on Kick
Crowdcut's live clipping follows chat while you stream and cuts from the broadcast as it's being saved. Kick doesn't offer that saved copy while you're live, so on Kick it needs the stream recorded on our side, and it's switched on per channel on request.
Try it on a VOD with the free Kick clip maker.
